Posten Norge makes everyday life easier with SwipBox parcel lockers

Posten Norge builds a nationwide SwipBox Infinity locker network, so far covering 1,500 locations spanning from the very south of Norway to well north of the Arctic Circle

The establishment of the Norwegian network is a textbook example of fast implementation of a nationwide parcel locker infrastructure. In fact, it only took Posten Norge 18 months to make the network nationwide, with thousands of Infinity lockers now placed throughout Norway – a country which Posten Norge knows inside out.

“The Infinity solution supports our vision of making everyday life easier and the world smaller. With an installation time of just 15 minutes per parcel locker, we can quickly build dense networks of lockers in locations close to our customers, creating maximum convenience,” said Head of Parcel Lockers at Posten Norge, Camilla De Verdier, and adds; “Now we want to make the parcel locker network even more dense to further increase customer satisfaction.”

With lockers placed conveniently close to customers, in villages and cities alike, Posten Norge follows through with their strategy of making everyday life easier for all Norwegians – with enduser ratings already standing at an impressive 97%.

Fast installation – also in arctic conditions

The rollout has been done in close collaboration with SwipBox, who has acted as Posten Norge’s technological and strategic partner, drawing on many years of experience with building parcel locker networks.

“We have developed a battery-powered locker which is app operated and communicates via Bluetooth and therefore needs no wiring at all. This reduces installation time dramatically, enabling customers like Posten Norge to roll out a nationwide network ultra-fast. In addition, it makes the parcel locker network highly cost-effective” said SwipBox CEO Jens Rom. “The soaring electricity prices exacerbates the benefits of being independent from power. The SwipBox Infinity locker is solely powered by a battery module with a 10-year life span.” Jens Rom continues.
