Fraser – Anti-Static Techniques

Static electricity affects quality and performance in digital printing. At DRUPA Fraser Anti-Static Techniques will be showing Printers the very latest techniques for overcoming these problems.  This includes the extremely problematic issue of double layer charging which makes laser printing onto highly resistive sheets so difficult.

Far from being an annoying by-product of the process, Static is also being used to help printers. For example, in textile digital print, static is being used usefully to control the material as it passes through the printing process. For more details, make sure you visit Fraser`s stand (E10 in Hall 9).

In areas where combustible solvents are used – such as gravure printing and coating – the upgraded, market leading EX1250 Static Eliminator will be of particular interest. Its certification has been extended to include ethylene, MEK and other group IIB gases.  Fraser ATEX certified static eliminators allow the customer not only to run machines with greater safety, but also at much higher speeds.  Recently a gravure customer in India was able to double the running speed of the printer after installing Fraser EX1250 Bars.

Offset printing is increasingly used to print onto difficult, polymeric substrates. Static causes sheet feeding and delivery problems.  Fraser`s new solutions to these problems will also be on display on the stand.

Fraser`s new intelligent NEOS static eliminators will be shown for the first time to the printing industry at DRUPA. NEOS static eliminators monitor the charge in the material and emit the right level and balance of ions to neutralise the charge.  NEOS represents a huge leap in static control technology by a company that specialises in understanding industry requirements and demands.
