Norway demonstrates commitment to Escher Group’s Riposte technology


As the trusted partner for point of service solutions of posts worldwide, Escher Group is pleased to announce the extension of a long-term contract with Norway.

With the third customer contract extension in as near many weeks, Escher continues to build strength on strength and demonstrates its status as the established leader in point of service solutions for the global postal industry.

The signing of the maintenance contract with Posten Norge, Norway’s national postal service operator, is for maintaining and supporting their point of service network that is built on Escher’s Riposte technology and serves the country’s almost 5 million citizens. The contract also ensures Escher’s dedication to supporting Posten’s vision to further extend their leadership in the provision of high-quality, customer-centric services to Norway citizens and enterprises for many years to come.

Worth over $4 million, the three and a half year agreement demonstrates Posten’s commitment to Escher and it’s Riposte technology, which is used to manage millions of transactions for postal operators around the world each day. Under the terms of the contract, Escher will continue to enrich Posten’s national network through a broad range of services including software maintenance, application management and application enhancement. The contract begins on 1st July 2013 and runs through 31st December 2016 and provides Posten with the option to further extend the maintenance agreement for an additional two years.

Initially appointed in 2004, Escher’s Riposte technology maintains and supports Posten Norge’s point of service network, enabling its multi-channel infrastructure and providing all the functionality required by the post to operate its business with an efficient and expanding offering.
