NetDespatch helps keep Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance flying

Unbenannt

NetDespatch is once again supporting the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust (TVAC) with a £7,500 donation towards the operating costs of the helicopter that it helped to buy six years ago.   The Trust provides an essential life saving service for the Thames Valley area covering Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. With no government or lottery funding, the Trust relies entirely on sponsorship, donations and fundraising activities to meet its running costs of almost £3 million per year.

Carrying a dedicated team of pilot, doctor and paramedic, the state-of-the-art Eurocopter EC135, which replaced the Trust’s Bölkow 105 helicopter in 2008, carries out an average of three missions every day, providing a rapid response and delivering emergency medical care to patients that would have been difficult or impossible to reach by ground services.   Equipped with a full range of high-tech medical equipment to care for patients in flight, the helicopter has the ability to fly for more than two hours, can reach speeds of up to 150 mph, and is able to land on some of the most challenging ground conditions.

Oliver Hiscoe, Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fundraising Manager for the Trust said: “NetDespatch is one of the most generous companies in our area, and it’s thanks to the contributions of our supporters that we are able to keep our air ambulance running and saving lives.”

NetDespatch provides web software as a service within the express transport sector, and is based within the Air Ambulance Trust’s operational zone. Each year, NetDespatch staff vote on a charity to support, and the company donates a fixed percentage of its turnover to their chosen cause.

“NetDespatch works within the express transport and logistics sector and has a clear understanding of the need for high levels of service and quick response. We are, therefore, very pleased to be able to support the Air Ambulance Trust in helping it maintain its helicopter for rapid response to emergencies,” says NetDespatch CEO Becky Clark
