Toad Footwear, to drastically improve its despatch processes through seamless integration between its Magento Order Management system and the delivery network of the company’s parcel carrier.   Toad Footwear, an independent shoe shop situated in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, has been trading successfully on the High Street and online for ten years.

“The NetDespatch Retail Solutions team reviewed our processes, which involved manually entering jobs in order to despatch through Royal Mail,” said Drage Thompson, Director of Toad Footwear. “They evaluated the integration options available within the Magento sales order processing system, and showed us how implementing the NetDespatch solution could save us time and help us to improve customer service.”

The solution was implemented within just a few days. Despatch data created on the Magento system is automatically sent in real-time via a secure connection to the NetDespatch processing platform, using the Xtento extension. The correct labels are printed and attached to the prepared parcels, and the parcel carrier is pre-advised that packages are ready for collection.

The new integrated solution, which has automated the whole order-to-despatch process, has been a great success. The solution has also streamlined Toad Footwear’s accounting processes, since it is integrated with the carrier’s billing system.
