All praise Escher Customer Forum a resounding success

Escher Group’s 4th Customer Forum was hailed a resounding success by all who attended the biennial event. It has been a truly inspirational two days of insight and engaging discussion at the Westbury Hotel in Dublin, Ireland that brought together senior executives and leaders from international postal organizations and governing bodies, as well as, retail champions and industry consultants from across the globe.

Escher’s Customer Forum has proven to be a focal point for postal industry leaders who are defining tomorrow’s postal services and wish to engage in catalyzing discussions on where growth opportunities lie for the industry. The event gives Escher customers the opportunity to hear first hand the latest thought leadership in terms of technologies, consumer strategies and innovative approaches that will fuel growth in an increasingly competitive and changing postal landscape.

The forum was set in motion with Professor Mark Ferguson, Director General of Science Foundation Ireland presenting the opening address that looked at ways technology is shaping the delivery of services. Highlights from the event included presentations by Clare Rayner, retail expert and author of The Retails Champion; Lati Matata I.T. Development Manager of the Universal Postal Union who revealed new services from the UPU; Serge Novaretti, Programme Manager for the European Union on advancing the digital agenda for Europe; and Martin Moran, Commercial Director for The Post Office UK who discussed the Post Offices role as the front office for Government.

Senior Escher executives showed their latest innovative solutions and delivered a vision of the future for their customers that is compelling in terms of enriching the interactive service experience provided by posts and by integrating additional points of presence through new technology solutions for developing stronger customer engagements and loyalty.

What makes the event special is that it enables Escher’s customers, who operate some of the largest retail and distribution networks globally, to personally share with each other their experiences and how they are implementing Escher technology to enhance and drive their business forward.

Other distinguished speakers in attendance included John Cronin of An Post, Japie van Pletzen from South Africa, Guy Ferber of PTT Luxembourg, Salustio Prieto Marquez of Correos Chile, Dato’ Mearia of PosNiaga Malaysia, Janet Webster of Creative Consulting USA and Troels Thomsen of Post Denmark who moderated the event.

“This is the most personal event Escher puts together for our customers and gives us a chance to enhance our relationships with them while giving us the opportunity to include leaders from various sectors to share and discuss new and transformational strategies for growth for our customers,” remarked Escher CEO Liam Church. “Our focus was to deliver a unique and unmatched experience for our customers and we are pleased to know that our event was held in such high regard by everyone who attended.”
